Your strategic direction sets the stage. You need to take a hard look at your strategy and your people and answer the tough questions:

  • Is your strategy sufficient to ensure a profitable and sustainable business, now and for the foreseeable future? If not, you’ve got work to do to shore it up.

  • Do your leaders have the capability to deliver your strategic plan? If not, you’ll need to develop or hire the capability.

  • Do you have the capacity across the organization to deliver the strategic plan? If not, you can hire additional resources or outsource the work.

  • Are your leaders aligned and committed to your strategic direction? If you don’t have clear strategic alignment across your leadership team, you don’t have a strategic direction.

  • Can they deliver it without you? And will they? If not, you’ve got to change the strategy, develop your leaders or hire talent.

You need your team aligned, committed and engaged with a strategy they can deliver and one that will be sustainable over time.

We know that unfortunately, most strategic plans just sit on the bookshelf. Your plan needs to be your guide for company direction, resource allocation and decision-making!

When we facilitate strategic planning retreats, we don’t just build a plan, we work with our clients to institute a review process, scorecard, and the management systems that will keep your team accountable and allow you to change the plan to suit the needs of the business.
